Last week we used the Chromebooks to find out lots of information about the Stone Age. We made a class timeline and used the information to design our own timeline.
As part of our 3D shape learning we were given a building challenge to see if we could build 3D shapes from the given properties. For example: can you build a 3D shape with 12 edges, 8 corners and 6 faces? Do you know what shape it is? A cube!!!!
We spent the morning at Clava Cairns exploring the Bronze Age monuments. We explored the site through drama, writing, art, reading for information activities and play.
We had a brilliant morning using measuring equipment to follow a salt dough recipe to make these Celtic decorations! We spent weeks learning how to use weighing sale, measuring jugs, rulers and how to convert measurements and calculate area. We put all our learning into this key assessment task. It was brilliant fun!
Halle received the Redwood award for being a fantastic role model out in the playground! Well done Halle!
